Heading formatting styles change randomly so that, e.g., 2 headings both with the "Heading 2" style can be quite different (vastly different font sizes, underlined/not underlines, colour - some turn blue!).

In the attached screenshot, the Rich Text Editor claims that both "!!Admin" and "!!Applications" are the same 'Heading 2' style. Changing either of these to Paragraph and back again has no effect - once the style is corrupted, there's no solution other than deleting the content and re-entering it.

            [CONFSERVER-28768] Inconsistent header style formatting

Retested the issue with 5.0.3 and seems that already this version fixed it.

Here's a work-around I've been using around this (using Confluence 4.0). May work for other versions too:

            • If you set a line of text to header and the font size/styling is wrong:
              • Set the line to 'preformatted' (clears all styling)
              • Set the line back to the needed header style (should correct the font-size or other styling issues)

            Hi Kelli

Thanks for the update. It looks like this issue has been resolved in the latest version of Confluence (5.1.4). Unfortunately we don't provide patches for these sorts of issues only serious security issues.

            Regards

We've had several users report the size issue and I just now was able to reproduce it. We have Confluence 4.3.2 and are using the documentation theme. I'm on Windows 7 with Chrome 26.0.1410.64 m.

            To reproduce:

            1. create a page with two headings (I used h1)
            2. highlight the entire first heading (must be highlighted across the entire edit window)
              • hightlight the entire first section if there is content under the first heading
            3. delete the first heading/section
            4. the second heading is now too large

            Hi Koryn,

Are you always able to get to the corrupted state if you take certain steps? If so, please record a http://screencast.com/ video so that our team can also reproduce and fix the problem.

Would you confirm what Browser model and version you are using?

            Thanks,
            Renan
