It would be nice, if Confluence would support "live-editing", like Zenpen does: http://www.zenpen.io/

The only compareable add-on I know is the InPlace editor, which is even too much sometimes for our users. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/confluence.extra.cipe/version/41

            [CONFSERVER-28671] Faster, 'zenpen' like editor

Great feature idea! We actually spent some time working on this in the early stages of 4.0 but ran into a number of major UX hurdles that prohibited us from going forward like:

            • Quickly toggling between edit and view mode makes content jump around because macros render differently between edit and view.
            • It created a lot of notifications/versions of the page
            • People wanted to just select text while reading in view mode and kept accidentally flipping to edit mode.

There were more reasons but these are the ones from memory. Given our experience, we don't plan to do this in the near future so closing. Thanks again for the idea.
