This issue is related to this bug: CONF-22154.
JIRA Issues Macro date formatting behaviour varies and here are the scenarios:
Scenario 1:
Confluence Date Format is set as: MMM dd, yyyy
The expected date format for JIRA Issues Macro should also be: MMM dd, yyyy
When renderMode is configured as "static", this setting is respected:
Scenario 2:
Confluence Date Format is set as: MMM dd, yyyy
The expected date format for JIRA Issues Macro should also be: MMM dd, yyyy
When renderMode is configured as "dynamic", this setting is NOT respected:
Scenario 3:
Confluence Date Format is set as: MMM dd, yyyy
The expected date format for JIRA Issues Macro should also be: MMM dd, yyyy
When renderMode is configured as "static" and columns are configured for example to "key,created,updated,resolved,summary" - Only "Created" date & "Updated" date followed Confluence Date Format while "Resolved" date do NOT:
Scenario 4:
Confluence Date Format is set as: MMM dd, yyyy
The expected date format for JIRA Issues Macro should also be: MMM dd, yyyy
When renderMode is configured as "dynamic" and columns are configured for example to "key,created,updated,resolved,summary" - None of the date format followed Confluence Date Format:

Has this truly been fixed? I am getting the same problem with Confluence (data center) 6.1.0
I can't find anywhere to get dynamic or static (presumably this is no longer an option) but the dates from Jira custom fields are not being rendered in the format set in either Jira or Confluence. System dates seem fine (create, edit etc) but some custom field dates are shown in some random long form with timezone included which is making tables look pretty horrible. In the example below the first date is a simple custom date field and the second (circled) is the result of a scripted field - both show fine in Jira but the second shows in this odd format in Confluence.
