getting heap out of memory java exception

I do not believe this is a support issue if I am seeing Java errors in the page.

I am using confluence onDemand and I am trying to convert a word document. The doc size is 1.3MB. I have tried to load this 4 times now and failed every time with a heap out of memory exception. It converts or strips out many of the images in the doc. The page ends up with a lot of attachments, but no conversion.
