In the new editor Shift-Del works like just "DEL" - not storying the infrormation into the clipboard.

This issue is also apparent in Confluence 5.0.3

Issue is more interesting. Today I tried to use a Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. I had some text in the buffer from the other program (text only, ANSI). I had selected text in Confluence in the table's cell and pressed Ctrl+C, then I moved cursor to another cell and pressed Ctrl+V, and... I had a pasted text that was in buffer before Ctrl+C was pressed. It seems that Ctrl+C was ignored (did not copied anything to a buffer or copied in other format), but Ctrl+V worked, and inserted text from a previous program.

I have the same problem as it described in a ticket, but in the following case:

            Server: Confluence v5.0.3 on Windows 2003 x64
Client: Google Chrome on Windows 2008 R2 x64, 16GB RAM

When I tried to cut a block of text from noformat or panel macros (I do not remember exactly from which type, but from one of the blocks) using Shift+Del (that must work like Ctrl+X) – data was deleted, but not copied to clipboard. I tried a lot of times, this issue was reproducable on my PC for 100%.

In a theory this is may be related to a usermode RAM available on a client (a lot of memory is allocated for a chrome with a big amount of tabs, so memory problem for a very-large RichEdit). But this is just a hypothesis. It is maybe absolutely incorrect/not related to an issue.

Another hypothesis that maybe it is "skipping" a shift button pressed, so it thinks that just "Del" button (without shift) was pressed, so it is not cutting, but deleting.

After that I afraid to use CUT, because I afraid to lost any information.
Later I tried to use Ctrl+X, instead of Shift+Del, seems it is working, but I'm not sure that I used Ctrl+X in the similar to a Shift+Del cases.

I was only able to replicate this on Fedora, to my knowledge Shift+Del doesn't copy text on either Windows or Linux. I've changed the description to clarify.

It doesn't Copy only, it is must work as Copy + Delete = Cut (saying about Windows).
Shift+Del it is equal combination to a Ctrl+X and a menu option "Cut" (on Windows)

I think it is required to fix ticket's details, because it is not a Linux problems, it is a common issue.
