Steps to Reproduce
tl;dr: test it on this page https://confxhtml.atlassian.com/x/VgEXHQ
- Create a new page
- Download and extract 151txtAttachments.zip
- Attach the 151 text files through drag and drop
- Edit the page
- Click on Insert Link > Attachments. Only first 50 is shown and there is no pagination:
It seems that only 50 is returned by the REST call - CONF-18436:
Workaround
Use the exclamation mark '!' and file name to include it to the Page's body:
- Navigate to the Attachments section of a specific Page
- Locate the file or image we want to add and take note of it's file name
- Navigate back to the Page and Edit it
- Put the cursor on the desired location and add the file or image with an exclamation mark plus file name:
! examplefile.jpg

[CONFSERVER-24958] Attachment link browser only shows first 50 attached files
I would like to add this issue is becoming a problem for our users. We would like to see this resolved.

added a comment - Ran across this doozy in 6.0.4 as well. Frustrating, as it seems like it outta be a simple fix. (Can you say "magic number"?). The "search" workaround doesn't work for me either. Nor does using the "[" shortcut.

Nor does using the "[" shortcut. Would be nice to see a solution after 3 years any many new versions of confluence. If you want to use it as CMS to share more attachments it is not the best solution.

added a comment - have run into this bug in 5.1.1 as well +1 ... Pagination will be welcomed and also a filtering capacities.
If most of attachment have the same suffix or use a non significant suffix like a date, the workaround based on "!" shortcut that display a short list of files is not enough.
We have pages with more than 50 attachments and our users complain that using the Search instead of navigating a list of attachment is rather time consuming. They would like the attachment list to be paginated and the ability to sort by upload date or name.
