      Confluence can appear to be over eager to hyperlink things it things are URL's when pasting them in.

      eg: if you paste ldap:///CN=<CATruncatedName><CRLNameSuffix>,CN=DC1,CN=CDP,CN=Public Key Services,CN=Services,<ConfigurationContainer>

      then the ldap:///CN= section will become a hyperlink.

      Should we consider a list of specific protocols we will auto hyperlink only.

            I think the protocol white list is going to be the way to go on this one.

            Without diving into code I think the example given is just our URI regex matching against what is actually a valid URI. I'm not sure that three slashes should be accepted, but I doubt if that removes all cases where linking would be considered 'over eager'.
