Description
Confluence 4.1+ permits the user to use many new special characters in page names that were not previously permitted.
Unfortunately, these characters break the WebDAV server in 4.1-rc1. When I create a page in Confluence with title:
Great Stuff for C:\!
...then WebDAV clients are unable to access it.
For example, attempting to click on the above-named folder with XP results in the following error message and no content in the folder:
"Documents in this folder are not available. They may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server."
Attempting to connect from OS X 10.7 to the same page shows an empty folder.
If I append a forward slash to the above page title, then the containing folder disappears entirely from view of both XP and OS X and I am unable to see it in any form.
Any special characters should be properly escaped by the WebDAV server so that legal directory names are passed to the client.
