• We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We are using Confluence and would like to send email-notifications as plaintext with the changed content.
Today this is sent with HTML (and not possible with plaintext), where the changed content is highlighted in green. As this is done with CSS in the HTML, emailreaders will not be able to translate this into plaintext, forcing our users to view the emails as HTML.

Our request is to get an email like this:

User [username] changed the page [page name]
      Comment: [comment]
      --------------------------------------
      - Roses are blue violets are green
+ Roses are red violets are blue
      And so are you
Loreum ipsum lori di sa dor
      - Ipsum la mi da sorium
      + Hipla dopla dei
      [...]
      --------------------------------------

Very much like the 'git diff' og 'svn diff'. Is this possible?
