Some change in Confluence 3.5.x development caused the dashboard to no longer persist the number of updates displayed on the dashboard when asking the dashboard for 10 updates.

Steps to reproduce:

• Click on "-" on the recent updates
• The dashboard now fewer updates
• Click on the "Dashboard" link on the bread crumb to refresh the dashboard
• The number of updates resets to what it was before "-" was clicked. The state should have persisted.
