    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Problem we want to solve: Quickly insert a JIRA issue or list of JIRA issues on a page.

Current solution: Go to JIRA, grab the URL, go to Confluence open up macro browser, find JIRA, paste the URL in insert it

What if we could autoformat JIRA urls into the macro placeholder for JRIA issues?

      Example:

      http://jira.atlassian.com/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest-xml/temp/SearchRequest.xml?jqlQuery=labels+%3D+pm_review&tempMax=200

Would turn into a JIRA macro (Ryans thing) and embeds the placeholder on a page and the JQL is labels=pm_review

We could extend this to autoformat for JIRA issues (eg JIRA-9) gets converted into a lozenge, but then you need entity-to-entity mappings to make that nice
