Import JIRA users into Confluence

      Crowd have the feature to import users from other Atlassian products for example JIRA as describe on this documentation

      It would be great if Confluence have this feature so that it could use the same users base as JIRA so that JIRA integration macro is working well but not hogging JIRA for authentication and user management.

            Hi! The Bulk User Upload AddOn can do this and has now been updated to the latest version of Confluence.

            As it sounds like you're doing now the best way to sync users between Confluence and JIRA is to use the JIRA as your user directory as described here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Connecting+to+Crowd+or+JIRA+for+User+Management

            So you're aware, when doing this most of the user data is copied over to Confluence so it won't "hog JIRA" too much anyway.
