[CONFSERVER-20224] PDF export for Code Block content is resulting in blank space gap

I work with PDF quite often, because for me it is the most convenient file format, especially for work. There may be different ways to edit PDF documents, but I use Nitro PDF Pro, which I learned about here https://setapp.com/how-to/merge-pdf-on-mac. So now I have no problems quickly combining several PDFs into one, or performing other actions, without reducing PDF content quality.

2023 and this is still an issue with code blocks being exported to .docx and pdf. Please re-open this issue.

If you want to work around this, use the 'No Format' macro instead of code block macro, if that is an option for you.

Still an issue for us as well.

Still an issue. We have to revert to Google Docs for some cases because we can't be sending out doc exports with giant gaps. Not ideal.

The issue mentioned by @Kai Fung Chong (https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/NCODE-217) doesn't seem to exist.

Where can I find the current status of this ticket?

This problem is still persistent in Confluence version 5.10.1

This needs to be resolved. You can't offer a documentation system that's unable to handle technical documentation. Export to pdf is commonly used to provide documentation to customers and it gives a very bad impression to send pdfs with bad structure. It should also be a priority for Atlassian to not have bugs with priority Major unresolved for 6 years, it's bad publicity for you.
