      If you have the {pagetreesearch} macro in the default page location in Confluence 3.1 (at the bottom in a column next to the change history macro), when the page loads the autofocus causes the browser to jump to that location on the page. It's easy to fix (either move the macro higher up in the page, or remove it altogether), but it's annoying because it will make its way on to every page we create unless we make a conscious effort to remove it.

            Hi there

            Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog now for quite some time with no resolution. Rather than leave this here I'm going to close this out as won't fix. I believe that this better reflects the status of this issue.

            Regards

            I want to add that our problem is not caused by pagetreesearch but rather by one of the mail form macros that we use. I just tested this by removing the macros from the bottom of the page, and the behavior stopped. We are running version 3.1.

            We have this problem too. I have a "feedback" form at the bottom of each page. On page load, the focus goes to the bottom of the page. Essentially, we want to override the focus action that gets kicked off on page load.

            We cannot upgrade at this time. Can anyone recommend a workaround for this situation?

            {mail-form} {mail-input} {mail-option} {mail-select} {mail-submit} {mail-success}

            Changed this to a bug since I feel it's more that than an 'improvement'. I do understand the need for Accessibility (if that's what they're shooting for) but at least make the search box in the header first focus instead of the first textbox in the page body.
