      Hello all,

After an update Weblogic logs contain the following exception when reaching pages linked form another corporate server:

2009-09-24 09:14:56,859 ERROR [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [atlassian.confluence.servlet.ConfluenceServletDispatcher] sendError Could not execute action
       -- url: /login.action | userName: SCE
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot resize buffer - 311 bytes have already been written (Servlet 2.3, sec. 5.1)

There is no SSO or custom authenticator configured and GZIP compression is disabled. Possible hint on cause could be:
Java Servlet - Re: java.lang.IllegalStateException: cannot resize buffer; maybe how the authorization dispatching vs. filter processing works on Weblogic?

Other than error logging there is no visible adverse effect or service disruption.

      Best Regards,
      Edoardo

            Hi There

Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for quite some time now with very little progress being made. Rather than leaving this here I'm going to close this issue as won't fix, I believe this better reflects the status of this issue.

If the problem is raised again in the future we'll readdress it.

            Regards
            Steve Haffenden

            Hi Anatoli,

sometimes this procedure will reproduce the problem.
I've tried it at least 10 times, but there are only
two errors in the log file...

            Best regards
            Michael

After a bit of research I found that this problem only happens with WebLogic and probably to do with redirecting or forwarding.

Can we ask the user if the problem is reproducible at will? I suspect in this particular case to reproduce the problem user will need to:

            • log out from confluence
            • make sure that there is no "remember me" cookie
            • try to directly access dashboard (<baseurl>/dashboard.action).

            Anatoli.
