Do not search people when the people directory is hidden

The people directory has been hidden from the users and I can limit that the person information updates are not show in the recently-updated section by limiting the spaces that it shows (not handy at all but works). Now the only problem is that I still can see all user and go to see them details when I search something. Could you please change the searching so that admin can decide if searching is done also from the people directory or not. Other and maybe more logical and better solution would be that when you enable people directory you shouldn't be able to find people with the search engine or to see them in the recently updated list. This is really critical issue when there are many customers using the same confluence instance and they should not be seeing each others in no way.
