Macros are taking too long to index/display pages after getting a label added

      Issue Summary

      Macros like 'Content by Label' and 'Page Properties Report' are taking too long to display pages (existing & new) that receive a new label matching the macro requirements.

      The time to refresh the content varies, but in some cases, the pages only start to appear in the macro on the following day. Not showing instantly is acceptable, but it becomes a problem when it takes more than a few minutes, often presenting hours of delay.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Include a 'Content by Label' macro on the page using a target label. For example: 'test-label';
      2. Add label 'test-label' to some page;
      3.  Check the page that contains the 'Content by Label' macro.

      Expected Results

      The new page that just received the label appears in the macro in a matter of minutes.
      Ideally, that would be almost instantly, but if it takes a couple of minutes with a delay that would be acceptable.

      Actual Results

      If there were other pages that contained that label before, only those "old pages" are shown, but not the new/recent ones.

      If there were no other pages using the target label before, the following message is displayed:

      "There is no content with the specified labels."

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior.

      Notes

      Although this example above refers to the 'Content by Label' macro, the same behavior happens with the 'Page Properties Report', since it also depends on labels to index/filter data.

            Hi everyone,

            This is Ying Wang from the Confluence Cloud team. Thank you for raising this bug and bringing it to our attention. After examining this issue, we weren’t able to reproduce the behavior within our instances. After using the content by label macro, the pages appeared as expected within seconds of adding a label to them within our instances. To set the right expectations, we are closing this bug to focus on our upcoming roadmap for all Confluence Cloud users.

            If this is still an issue for you, please let us know. Thank you again for providing valuable feedback to our team!

            Best,

            Ying Wang

            How do we get this bug re-opened? This is still occurring to us on a regular basis. I am looking at a blog post was was updated 10 minutes ago and the blog post macro is not showing the content.

            This happens in our cloud instance as well.  It takes at least 5 minutes and sometimes much longer for new labels we apply to pages to then be able to list results in these macros.

            This issue is also impacting my entire organization as we leverage page properties (and reporting) on a daily basis.  We are currently seeing mixed results with values returned based on labels, instances where say 5 pages should be returned in results but only seeing 2, a couple of hours later, all 5 pages are in the report.

            Please prioritize this issue. It impacts my company's daily business.

            We use Confluence as our Intranet. There is a Home Space with an overview of news from our teams.

            Every team creates blog posts and tags them with their specific label. We show the 5 last blog posts of each team according to the label. We use the Blog post macro to automate this.

            And now it's really hard to work with that automation. We rely on that macro to show us relevant information, and it does it unpredictably, or with a huge delay. It makes me question my choice to use Confluence and rely on its automation.

            Please take this bug seriously and fix it ASAP.
