Confluence continues to show Welcome screen to some users
When a user logs into a Confluence site for the first time, they're prompted a welcome screen, asking to watch and/or create a Space in the site.
This should only appear once per user, per site, and once they've gone through the welcome screen, they should not see it again.
For some users however, the screen continues to show up everytime they log in.
Steps to Reproduce
Log into a new Confluence site.
You'll go through the welcome screen.
/wiki/welcome
Once done, log out, and log back into the same Confluence instance.
For some users, they'll just be brought to the Confluence home page.
/wiki/home
For for other users, they'll be shown the welcome screen again.
/wiki/welcome
Expected Results
The welcome screen should only be shown to a user once, during their initial login into the Confluence site.
Actual Results
Some users are prompted the welcome screen every time they log in.
Some users have also reported that the welcome screen appears again when navigating Confluence.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
If you'd like to disable the welcome screen entirely, for users who have logged in, and new users as well, do contact support via the link below to check and see if the option is available for your site.
