Description
My name is Sheerine and I'm a Product Manager on the Confluence team. Thank you for the feedback and continued discussions on this ticket. Our team is aware of the problem and is currently working on a solution to resolve this concern. We are prioritizing this in our upcoming sprint and will provide updates on the status here. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out.
Thank you!
Issue Summary
Team calendars allow you to add restrictions to a calendar, so that only the proper users can see/edit it. However, it is not possible to grant edit + view restriction for the same user.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a calendar.
- Set the restrictions to Only specific people can view or edit
- Add your account.
- Set the restriction to Edit.
Expected Results
As it happens with page restrictions, the calendar should be restricted that no one can see it, and only you can edit.
Actual Results
Only the edit restriction was granted to you - the calendar doesn't have any view restrictions. You need to apply at least 1 view restriction for the calendar to be restricted.
Workaround
Grant view restriction to a group you are part of. This way you'll have view restriction from the group + edit restriction that is being granted individually.
