Issue Summary

Sorting a table column with dates won't work properly. The sort won't happen as expected. Tested using bellow date formats:

      • dd/MM/yyyy
      • dd-MM-yyyy
      • using the date macro
      • yyyy/MM/dd
      • yyyy-MM-dd

        Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Confluence page using the new editor.
      2. Insert a table.
      3. Populate a column with dates.
      4. Publish the page.
      5. Sort the table by this column.

      Expected Results

The column should be sorted properly (increasing or decreasing the dates).

      Actual Results

The sort is not applied correctly.

      Workaround

Use the date picker to insert the date and this will ensure the table can be sorted correctly based on the date.

It would be fantastic if a date column should be sorted properly (increasing or decreasing the dates).

Sorting numerically at all does not work, no matter the date format, not using the date macro. Changing dates to 11.01.22 format doesn't even work although that should be read as a numeric decimal.
