      The main issue, specially for huge companies, is External Collaborator access in Confluence Cloud. That is main feature missing and could not cover by public access which is not good alternative when you attend to share specific document to particular customer for read access for certain time.

            Is there any further movement on this initiative? We have attempted to use 3rd party tools, however we seem to lose the essence of Confluence when sharing externally and would prefer this to be a native shelf option.

            This is a critical feature for our organisation.  We use confluence and Jira in combination to manage all our customer projects.  We have many projects, 3 to 18 months in length.  For the duration of the project, we need to provide several members of the customer organisation, secure, access to the space when we document their entire project.

            We do not need to give them create or edit access.  They need access to view, comment and approve via the Approvals for Confluence add-on.

            Not having this feature is a barrier to our further adoption of confluence add-on.  It makes little sense for us to add too much cost per user, when customer, view only, users outweigh or own content creators 4 to 1.
