Ability to insert layouts inside Excerpt macro on the new editor

In the old editing experience, it was possible to insert columns inside an Excerpt macro, doing amazing excerpting content.

Using the new editor, this is no longer possible, as the Excerpt macro doesn't accept nested layouts - it would be great if we could insert it in the Excerpt macro again

      Workaround :
The below two options will not completely replace the layout feature but can be used as a temporary workaround.
      1. You can use a table inside the Excerpt macro in place of the Layouts if you want to section the content.
      2. You can make use of the "Include Page" macro in the destination page where you want the content to be copied. However, this macro copies the entire page content to the destination page and might not be the best workaround if you want to copy only a portion of the page content.

            This would be appreciated
Converting pages to the new editor is a pain when features are missing

Adding my support to this request

We use layouts instead of tables for a reason.

And we use Excerpts instead of including full pages for a reason.

It just doesn’t make sense that I can’t define any section of a page as an Excerpt. This limitation reduces the flexibility of content structuring.

I have a different take. I would love Atlassian to share its secret. How do they continuously remove features from a product and yet stay in business? I am certain every software house in the world would love to do the same. I very much would like to be able to tell my customers the price is rising and features are being removed at the same time.
