      2. Insert a link (Ctrl+K / Command+K)
      3. Start typing a Page's title or Jira Issue Key

[CONFCLOUD-67714] Link feature on the new editor doesn't reliably list results

Hi there, this is David from Confluence Editor team. The Link experience in Editor has been substantially updated since this ticket was raised, with multiple tabs showing more suggestions from Jira and Confluence, so I am closing this ticket for now. Please raise a suggestion if you have some ideas on how to further improve this.

            Regards,
            David

Been encountering this issue weekly since we moved to the Cloud. Really annoying to have to open the search in a new tab, find the page I'm looking for, and then copy&paste the share link to the page I'm editing.

I wouldn't assume that everyone who runs into this problem understands that the content they are looking for is actually there, just not displayed in the link list. If they do, they might not take the time to dig out the link some other way.

Really bad for the quality and interconnectivity of our content.

How is this STILL a medium???

Losing this feature is such a terrible outcome with the New Editor.

Believe it or not but linking pages is (was?) a top feature in confluence - not all wiki tools were that good at linking other pages, it is just that quick in the legacy editor  - and now having to open the page I want to link first feels like such an unnecessary hassle.

Not that I want to leave Confluence, but this New Editor is such a great opportunity for a competing product to actually be able to compete I hope Atlassian is not relying on IT Admins' unwillingness to migrate years of documentation as a deterrent to retain customers.

I cannot believe how bad this is. This is a primary use case for any wiki software: linking between documents. This has made my confluence usage 100x more painful and increases the barriers to me using it. I mistakenly allowed myself to convert an "old page" to the new format without realizing that one of the features of the new format was a degraded linking experience so I will certainly no longer be migrating any more pages.

This is a huge blocker for seamless editing. If you want customers to stay with Confluence and not migrate to Notion please fix this.

Is this a bug, or is it a major change in functionality that has been found not to work properly? It's almost a defect. Whatever it's called, it's a pain.
