Allow option to disable characters turning to emojis

Typing character sets into the editor which are used to symbolize emojis turns them into emojis. This is not always desired as certain character strings might trigger this behavior unintentionally (such as code).

It would be helpful if there were an option to turn this feature on or off, either via the editor, or in the user profile.
