The CQ macro ask question functionality lets users ask a question in either space or globally with prefilled out topics.

Now that this functionality is deprecated, a workaround is to take advantage of deep linking in confluence questions and use a url link to create a question eg

https://<hostname>/wiki/plugins/servlet/ac/com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.confluence-questions/globalQuestionsViewer?ac.com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.confluence-questions.path=/questions/ask

However, this only supports creating a question in a space / global question and does not allow topics to be pre filled. It'd be great to be able to add this to the url and bridge the functionality gap.
