I would like to add content to some of my confluence pages from 3rd party sites (e.g. prezi.com) using the iframe macro. I would like to allow the 3rd party content to switch to fullscreen. Your iframe macro dialog does not have that option and the generated iframe html tag does not contain the allowfullscreen attribute.

Could you add the allowfullscreen attribute to the iframe html or a checkbox into the dialog of the macro, so that I can enable/disable it.

[CONFCLOUD-55883] iFrame macro support for allowfullscreen parameter

Confluence does not appear to support any of the 5 different types of plugins offered by Wisita either.  These include:

            allowfullscreen

            mozallowfullscreen

            webkitallowfullscreen

            oallowfullscreen

            msallowfullscreen

I would like to upvote this request so we can allow our embedded video to make use of the media provider's full-screen button options.

( These have been tested against the html macro and the easy html macro )

If it's not because of the company using I will not use confluence again and do not ever recommend other people to use it. The dev team ignores such an easy feature to implement and many people want it. I will find some open source instead.

Jhon no prob. Independently of the technology for videos that MS will use, if it does not allow embeading we will find a different option.
The easiest way to integrate most of this technologies are iframes. The functionality of allow fullscreen that is part of the base Iframe standard definition should be supported on the oframe plugin. Currently its very difficult to actually integrate videos (independently of the origin) to documentation due the max width you can get is around 720px because the content is difficult to see (ex. workshop with coding parts).

Alvaro - don't hate me, but MS Streams is going away AFAIK:  https://corp.kaltura.com/blog/how-to-handle-the-coming-changes-to-microsoft-stream/.  My org has been looking at how to use the replacement (SharePoint videos) in Confluence, and the problem is that SharePoint videos don't expose an embed link.  EOL notice:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/new-stream

They've made it quite confusing by calling the new feature "Stream (on SharePoint)".

+1 - Exact same usage here. Many teams around the world are picking up MS Teams as their communication platform. When we enable recording, the recordings get saved into MS Stream. Why is this important? Well, we conduct many training seminars as large MS Teams meetings, enable recording, and then have the videos up on MS Stream for employees to watch later.

It would be so incredibly valuable to be able to embed this content (live streams from MS Stream or recordings) into Confluence, and now would be the best time to make it possible.

I manage Confluence Data Center and Cloud sites.  In DC / Server there is a fullscreen option which I use for MS Stream videos.  Missing in Cloud, which is another small strike against migrating to Cloud.  Please add!

I have some nice videos on Vimeo that I've embedded, but the videos look bush league because I can't make the videos go full screen in my articles.  If someone were to ask, I would just have to say " the platform we use for our articles apparently doesn't allow you to view videos in fullscreen, even though if I were to embed this pretty much anywhere else, the fullscreen functionality would be there."  It takes the edge off of what would otherwise be very sharp–it looks like we are just "getting by" with some article setup.  If I could have the video go full screen–since the article is just an expansion on the video, the articles would be pristine.  This really has a significant impact on the overall presentation of our articles.  Please allow us to adjust this parameter, or just have a blanket field to be able to manipulate attributes of the iframe, similarly to how we are able to have access to a few of the other attributes of the iframe–just have a catch-all field called "additional attributes" or something, and pass them along to your iframe container.  Thanks, Brad

It used to work with the html include macro (if I remember well the name), but a couple months ago our 'old UI' pages html include macros were automatically migrated to this iframe macro and the allowfullscreen attribute was no lobger available. It broke a bunch of Power BI reports that we were sharing with our executives. Loosing functionality through "updates" really didn't make the case to our management for extending the use of Confluence to other departments...

This is an ongoing issue. It's not limited to YouTube or Vimeo videos, Microsoft Stream embedded videos also check for the allowfullscreen attribute on the iframe element before enabling their full screen button. We do not have the html macro available to us on Cloud to get around the limitations of the existing iframe or multimedia macros and so end up with either having to specify large width and height parameters which breaks the responsiveness of the page or to forego having embedded videos altogether and just adding links to the video content - it's a big fail compared to Confluence's other excellent capabilities. A fix would be much appreciated.

*edit: I should add that when I edited the iframe element (using Chrome's dev tools) to have the allowfullscreen attribute, the embedded video enabled the view full screen button just fine, so the iframe macro is definitely just needing a toggle setting to allow full screen.

As I understand,  this suggestion is related to https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215813/iframes-for-confluence?hosting=server  plugin.  The same need is in our company,  we need fullscreen for vimeo embedding.

Yes - I need the same. We're using Confluence Cloud hosted option, so full HTML control is out/disabled per Confluence documentation. I have internal only videos (not able to post publicly) posted to our Microsoft Office 365 "Stream" channels that I want to embed in Confluence pages with Iframe module/Macro. Works great other than when the iframe player window renders the video player the player can't go into fullscreen mode.

Please add checkbox option to the Confluence Iframe Module/Macro edit screen so that we can turn on this DOM supported feature of the Iframe.

Yes! I have the same issue. Iframes are the only way to embed external content into Confluence Cloud, so it needs to be full-fledged in that little thing it does.

We need this to embed videos from Cincopa BTW.
