Confluence User is unable to access Confluence if the username has renamed from admin to any username

      Summary

      When a user admin is renamed and trying to access Confluence, the user will be prompted to enter the credential and will not be able to access Confluence, even with the right credential.

      Environment

      • Confluence version 1000.116.0

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Rename admin user
      2. Go to JIRA
      3. Click on application navigator and click on Confluence

      Expected Results

      User will be able to access Confluence.

      Actual Results

      User is prompted to enter the credential and still couldn't access it with the right credential. This error is showing in the log:

      Workaround.

      1. Rename back to admin.
      2. Sync the user directories.
      3. Rename back to the previous username
      4. Sync the user directories

      Note

      Resync the user directories without renaming the user back to admin will throw out this error:
