      Summary

      Confluence is unavailable since last night upgrade.

      Navigating to /wiki displays a timeout error page or a maintenance custom error leading to this bug.

      Environment

      • Confluence Cloud

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. go to site-url/wiki

      Expected Results

      Confluence Dashboard is shown

      Actual Results

      Error page appears and keeps appearing after more than 15 minutes

      Notes:

      JIRA works as expected

      Updates:

      All sites have been fixed.

      Root cause:

      A change to the way Confluence accesses Application Links in the database caused it to exhaust its database connections in some circumstances.

      Workaround / Solution

      Please contact Cloud Support if you haven't already, at support.atlassian.com mentioning this issue to manually run an upgrade with the fix.

            The fix has been rolled out to all sites.

            The cause was a change to the way Confluence accesses Application Links in the database that caused it to exhaust its database connections in some circumstances.

            If you are still experiencing problems please contact Cloud Support for investigation.

            My wiki is still down.

            Your Atlassian Cloud service is currently unavailable. If it’s around midnight it’s likely due to scheduled maintenance, and your page should be available again soon.

            If your page hasn’t appeared again in 5-10 minutes, go ahead and create a support request.

            Earlier today I signed up for a free trial of confluence but hit has failed to activate, I assume due to this issue?
