Hello , everybody . The same Error  still occuring. Issue should be reopened.  i have the same error when sometimes using  copy images from onenote.

i find that , if directly copy  images from onenote(mac) page, it will paste the images base64 content to the confluence page.(you can view the link on the page  and will find it), and this way may occasionally have the missing attribute error. But if you copy the images from onenote to another place such as , word, wechat chat dialog, and then copy the same image from them to confluence, you will find that it will upload the image rather than base64 content.

so, i want know , is there a way to not copy base64 content? why the word or the wechat dialog software can identify the onenote image?  i thinks it should be solved in the confluence

            1. What happend:

Copy and paste of Image via clipboard in Confluence editor (cloud)
            Image gets displayed correctly
            Hit save button
Image is not stored with page
Following error is displayed as title attribute for the missing image (a red placeholder icon is displayed)

            "com.atlassian.confluence.content.render.xhtml.XhtmlException: Missing required attribute: {http://atlassian.com/resource/identifier}value"

            1. Browser:

Chrome, Version 73.0.3683.75 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)

            1. Remarks:

The lost image is unacceptable. I lost a mockup I worked on for 30 minutes
The title attribute of the missing image is nothing for a normal user

I am using Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) and not able to drag or CTL v images Unable to render embedded object: File (image-2017-10-16-13-31-34-688.png) not found.

Its like the document does not upload ...? Any ideas?

I still have this problem as well. Using Chrome 56.0.2924.87 and Confluence Cloud. When I attempt to paste an image copied from a webpage into a Confluence page, the URL to the image is pasted instead of the image file.
