Display more details for pages in the trash: "who","when","why","what"

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

The only thing displayed when viewing trash is the page name. In order to determine what trash should be purged, I need to know more information. Some or all of the following would be nice.
      1) What date was it deleted? (allow sort by date)
      2) Who deleted the page?
      3) Ability to view the page contents without restoring it - probably just the source would be enough

      Status update 28 January 2022

Hi everyone- I’m DJ Chung, a PM on the Confluence team. We know this is a very popular request, but this is a feature that we don't have plans to prioritize in the near future. We will provide updates on this feature request as we have them.

If you'd like to chat more about this, please feel free to find with me here: https://calendly.com/djatlassian/30min

            Hello,

It's a mess to find something easily

I was shocked by the fact that a SaaS product of this kind, dont have this in place already.
This is crucial functionality for both administrative and security purpose!

Please reconsider prioritizing this and provide an update - it has now been more than a year since your status update not to do that (28 January 2022).

At the very least, please PLEASE add a "deleted by".  I just spent a lot of time tracking down a page that was both renamed and deleted, and we need to know who needs some training.

A malicious actor could do a lot of damage with zero activity in the logs.

Having the date an object was deleted would be a nice-to-have.

With so many votes on such an old feature request why has this not been prioritized.

We had to find and purge a deleted page that contained personal data that is not allowed on the site - it was close to impossible when you dont have any metadata on the deleted files. This was critical due to GDPR rules.

It is very time consuming (read expensive) every time you need to either purge or restore specific items.

            Please prioritize this feature ASAP.

What's the audit log useful for if traceability of users' actions isn't a part of that? How/why is this feature still being "considered" since 2005?

This is a bad actor's dream situation and an open invitation to malicious activity.  Please close this gap as soon a possible.  Traceability should be a part of core functionality.

I also can't understand why there's not yet an interest on addressing this need, which to me would seem quite basic. Confluence trash bin should look not that different from Windows trash bin, in my opinion.

We really need this; being able to audit our usage is a really important (and usually standard) feature we need to have available natively.

Looking forward for this upgrade. Every week we have deleted pages who were deleted by unknown users, without this feature is really to troubleshoot or to address the issue to the people involved.
