      Adding a limit feature to the user list macro would be extremely beneficial when adding such lists to sections limited in height.

            Thank you for your comment RoBo. Unfortunately the community Bubbles has been archived and not available for new versions of Confluence anymore. I'm currently not aware of an alternative.

            It might be wise to specify what kind of limit feature you would like, since there is already a limit feature build in:
            Sometime people tend to make live more complex. It looks like there is:

            "User List" Macro from Atlassian, which indeed does not have a limit feature
            "User List Macro" from Adaptavist, which does include a 'Count' field that specifies 'The maximum number of users to display'. And to make it even more 'simple': It's called "Users" macro and is included in their Community Bubbles package.
            So maybe this can be a workaround/solution for you?
