    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

It's quite hard to convince the users to leave a comment in the 'What did you change?' field after they have modified a page. They just ignore the field. Since 'Notify watchers' is switched on by default, the watchers get notification mails but they cannot see what the change was about. To find out, they have to click the link and check. Quite often it was a small change and not important for them, so this proves wasted time.

We would like configuration options in Confluence administration:

      • 'What did you change?' required field yes / no
      • 'Notify watchers' default on / off
