I'm a Confluence reseller and a query that has come to me from various clients as well as one that has been raised in the Confluence documentation online is about how to get sound or video files to stop autoplaying when you land on a page. This is especially important if you are displaying more than one file in a page since in this case, all files start playing simultaneously when landing on the page which is not ideal.
I have commented on a comment in the documentation which raised the issue and the Atlassian feedback was to raise an issue here.
I have added an mp3 file - Unable to render embedded object: File (song1.mp3) not found. - but I do not want it to auto play so I changed it to - Unable to render embedded object: File (song1.mp3) not found. - but this did nothing. Any ideas on how or if I can get this to not autostart?
I think Multimedia is a critical component to Confluence use and it is a pity current functions don't handle it properly...
Thanks for your suggestions and feedback on this issue. We do agree that the ability to configure the autoplay of multimedia would be be valuable for users.
We do have this in our backlog of features we would like to do in the next 12 months. We will update this issue as we make further progress on it.
