Hosted would like the ability to plug in new wiki renderers via a Confluence plugin. Ideally, a system similar to web fragments would be used so that a plugin could provide a wiki renderer and a weight, which determines where in the renderer will be injected into the existing chain. Basically, we're asking for wikiFiltersSubsystemContext.xml, specifically the registration of v2Components, to be pluggable. If this isn't implemented, Hosted can keep patching Confluence, but by implementing it, it will not only make our lives easier, but allow us to widely distribute our link renderers that allow Jira tickets, Fisheye commits, and Fisheye source files to be automatically linked.
