Here's the basic idea. No matter how fast Confluence becomes working on the local machine is always going to be faster. So having something like TiddlyWiki is very useful. However, the problem immediately becomes how to synchronize work done in Tiddlywiki across multiple machines.
What would be really cool is to come up with a plugin/modified Tiddlywiki, whatever it takes to make it so that you could use Tiddlywiki locally and have it automatically save up to a configured Confluence wiki. Or even better, make a TiddlyWiki clone that uses Confluence's markup language.
Think of it sort of like "Confluence-Lite" or something. Heck, this could even be a nice way to deal with disconnected Confluence wiki content management.
Anyway, just an idea as I stumbled around looking for a nice server side solution for Tiddlywiki to sync it up on multiple machines.

Given that this issue has been open for more than four years and with very little customer traction and demand, I'm going to resolve this as "Won't Fix", as we cannot see ourselves implementing this in the foreseeable future. If circumstances change, we will reopen the issue where appropriate.
