    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Headings and the anchor macro currently generate anchor names in the form "pagename-anchorname". This means long URLs even when using the tiny URL functionality, and it's a hassle if you want to email a link to a part of a document.

Anchors with a long name are required for PDF generation with FOP, but not for the HTML rendering.
