Approval capability for managers with Calendar.

      We used to utilize SharePoint calendars which enabled us to have approvals by management before submissions for vacation etc would be allowed. I can not find any documentation that shows this capability is in Team Calendars. Is this something that can be easily added via another Calendar Plug-in (if it exists) or is this something that can be added to the actual Team Calendars??

            We regret to inform you that due to limited demand, we have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now. Sometimes potentially valuable tickets do get closed where the Summary or Description has not caught the attention of the community. If you feel that this suggestion is valuable, consider describing in more detail or outlining how this request will help you achieve your goals. We may then be able to provide better guidance.

            We are currently using Confluence Server, Team Calendars, Jira Server, and Portfolio. We would like to have this environment track everything that could affect a project schedule such as leave, meetings, holidays, sick days, etc so that jira/portfolio would truly be near real-time reporting capability globally. More teams and departments want to use this tool suite but are hesitant because their homegrown calendar is better at providing metrics.

            Would be a great feature to have approvals by manager. You can get around this by adding a custom workflow in Jira, then use add a 'Jira Team Calenader', but then the Jira calendar in Confluence is only available as an ical export, not as a subscription.

            The main problem I think is it is called "Team calendar" and put some ads regarding Holiday... and we all think it was "the solution" to use to manage a team of people calendar in our lovely tool Confluence and Jira that we all like a lot but this is not the case. Marketing will kill us all.

            Like Paul, I am in the same situation. in case you do not know this, when you manage a team, you have to put rules in place and one of first one we all have is to manage holiday. Usually, for some reasons, all the team want to take the same dates and some of them forget the basic logic that they need to finish their work before being able to take some days off and so we need to put some kind of approval process to avoid this.
            I guess we are now all waiting from you to make this plugin "worth the money".

            Hi Paul, we don't have plans to implement this issue at the current stage. It isn't in our roadmap right now. I'm leaving the issue open for a while as we will re-visit this is 6-12 months time to see if demand has picked up and how strategic we think it is.
