      Problem Definition

When setting a file attachment on a page to show as link instead of show as thumbnail, the link opens the preview panel, rather than going straight to direct download.

      1. Currently, you need to preview the file first, then click the download arrow in the top right.

      Suggested Solution

      1. Add an option to list a file as a link for download, not just to list the link.
      2. Or add the option to open or preview the file when clicking a text link to an attachment.

      Workarounds

      Workaround 1: Middle Click

      1. You can middle-click the text link and a download Window should open
        • If you do not have the middle click option on your mouse, you can hold ctrl (Windows) or command (Mac) and then left-click the link with your mouse

Workaround 2: Right-click to "Save as"

      1. Set your file to show as link when inserting it to the page in the editor
      2. Right-click the file link on the page when viewing the page
      3. Click your browser's version of the Save as functionality
      4. The file will be saved rather than previewed
