snappy-java includes a native library for compression. If you bundle this into synchrony-standalone.jar, one cannot change the lib for other operating systems like FreeBSD.

I managed to fix up the JIRA macro plugin by exchanging the snappy-java-1.1.1.7.jar with the FreeBSD Version and got the macro plugin working.

But its not possible to change the snappy lib in the synchrony service.

I know FreeBSD is not officially supported, but Linux distros are becoming a mess nowadays .
