Synchrony won't start if Confluence is configured to use a datasource

Summary

I installed the latest Confluence 6.0 beta 3 release, and if I configure Confluence to use a datasource Synchrony won't start.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Configure Confluence to use a datasource instead of JDBC url
2. Start Confluence
3. Attempt to edit a page

Expected Results

Editor functions as normal

Actual Results

The following appears at the top of the screen:

There's a problem with collaborative editing. People may be unable to save or publish. Troubleshoot this problem.

When I click on troubleshoot this problem:
