Poor performance adding rows to large tables

    Description

      First Symptom

      When adding rows to large tables, (in excessive of around 500 rows), there is a significant hang and often an unresponsive script error appears.

      A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

      Steps to replicate

      • Install a new confluence 5.8.16/5.9.4
      • Create a page with 500 rows tables in Google Chrome
        table-data.txt
      • Edit it Firefox, version 43

      Expected Behavior

      Edit without any problem, just like Chrome

      Actual Behavior

      It took 20sec for the edit page to show up

      Observed if we tend to change certain row values the Chrome tab crashes. And auto saving drafts reports errors when trying to save.
