Redirect to space home page is missing in the URL in Confluence 5.9

Summary:
When accessing a space without a page name, the redirect to the space home page URL is missing. The space home page is shown correctly, but the URL is missing the page name of the space home page.

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a space within Confluence 5.9 and access it with the URL http://address/confluence/display/SPACE_KEY

Expected Results:
In earlier versions of Confluence the user would be redirected to the URL of the space home page, e.g. http://address/confluence/display/SPACE_KEY/home+page.

Actual Results:
The space home page is shown, but the URL doesn't change. This is a problem, e.g. if you create a link without a page name and some add-ons expect a page name in that case if they're working with the URL.

Workarounds:
Directly link to the space home page.
