You should be able to add labels to attachments. This isn't technically feasable until we turn Attachments into ContentEntityObjects

            [CONFSERVER-3963] Label attachments

We have version 4.3.1 of Confluence and this functionality does not work. Type in label text, press "Add", clears text and does nothing i.e. popup still displayed.

Is there any plan to actually make this happen? It seems like we talk about it every year and it never gets done.

Should I hold my breath for this feature ? It has been added to the Top25 label.. does that mean it's going to get implemented ?

I hope so, this is the last remaining blocker for me to oust alfresco and implement confluence company wide..

Please, please implement this feature !!!

            Thx

Can this request be revisited and consider adding it to the short term roadmap?

Is this ever going to be fixed? What are some alternate ways to "tag" attachments on my confluence instance?

            Hello

I need to be able to "tag" software packages that are attached to pages. The "label" feature would be ideal. I see that four years have passed since this was asked for the first time. Atlassian, any comment to be made?

My use case is that execs want to put industry analysis reports somewhere. These are all pdfs. They then want to be able to look for reports based on certain crtieria (quarter, analyst, etc.). If the content were in pages I'd just use labels like

            q1
            q2
            q3
            q4
            analyst1
            andlyst2

etc., but I don't have a good way to do this with attachments. Several people have suggested one attachment per page, but this seems a bit unwieldy.

This would allow much better "navigation" of attachments if we could label them just like pages. Having a page with macros which just view certain attachments with certain labels would enable an easy way to sift through them.
