Description
URLs that contain a backslash character () do not render as expected.
Test Cases:
- A URL with a slash in the anchor - eg http://www.example.com/index.html#Foo\bar
- A URL with a backslash in the URL itself - eg http://www.example.com\
Result
Confluence will in some cases remove just the backslash (which can cause the link to misbehave) or to not generate the href component of the hyperlink; which causes the link to be rendered as a hyperlink, but instead of a pointer (hand) cursor you'll see a an insertion point as you would for regular text.
See StorageFormat.txt for more examples of failing URLs.
