Summary

On Windows 8.1, users are not able to map network drive to Confluence via WebDAV should that particular Confluence instance is running over SSL.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open Windows Explorer >> Go to Computer >> click Map network drive
      2. Under the folder text box insert either one of the following path to map network drive to Confluence via WebDAV in your Windows machine:
        https://<ServerBaseURL>/plugins/servlet/confluence/default

      3. Click Finish

      Expected Behaviour

I'm still using the same setup as earlier when WebDAV problems started. It's a Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 client with the newest available Windows updates installed. The server is a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with Confluence 5.8.5 (build number 5983). Application Server is Apache Tomcat/8.0.23, Java version is 1.8.0_45. Did I forgot something important?

            Hi stefan.jurt,

Could you please share with us about the version of Windows client that you used to connect Confluence WebDav and the information related to your Confluence server?

            Thanks,

That astonishs me now! I've tested it today after 3 months of not testing or using it and now it works. And I haven't changed anything (as far as I remember, just updated the add-ons and installed Windows updates). My Confluence version is still 5.8.5 and I'm working with a valid SSL certificate (not self signed).

Works with Windows 8.1 via SSL terminated by Apache HTTPD frontend server connected to Confluence Tomcat with AJP. Confluence 5.8.15 64bit on Windows 2012 R2. Apache on same machine. Valid SSL certificate (NOT self signed!).

This appears to be working again on Windows 10. Can anyone else confirm?

Any update from anyone on this issue? We're stuck on 5.7.4 until this is resolved...

Michael, you're right! Connection with CyberDuck works fine:

I also tried to connect on the Confluence server itself as you recommended. But no luck, same errors as on my workstation. Looks like the problem is related to the Windows WebDAV client?!?

Same deal for me (hence this bug logged). It started with 5.8.4, suspect it could be something related to Tomcat8 & SSL. Stefan, can you connect via that address when on the Confluence server itself? Other WebDAV clients (Netdrive, CyberDuck, web browsers) connect OK - so perhaps something particular to Windows network clients.
