When adding an Excel (xls & xlsx) as an embedded file, content in cell is not displayed properly. In the following steps, the first character is not displayed in the File Preview.
Steps to replicate
- Create a page
- Click on Files
- Upload and select this files (TestFF1.xlsx
)
- Save the page
- Click the file to see the Preview (eg. Sample Result ExcelPreview.JPG
)
Observed behaviour
The following combination of formatting caused this issue:
- Use font Verdana size 7.5
- Set the Column Width as 8
- 8 digits number is set with a custom format (### ## ###) - might be a phone number format
- The first digit is not displayed at the File Preview
Workaround
- Use different font
- Increase font size
- Increase the Column Width

Thank you for your interest in this ticket. The Confluence Server and Data Center team released a major upgrade to the editor in 6.14.
