Preview file experience to include .txt file, .html file, .msg file

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      As of now, Confluence file preview features doesn't include .txt as one of the previewable file types. It's great that Confluence is able to preview complicated file types as describe in Confluence 5.7 Release Notes:

      Image Files Office Files Other Files
      JPEG DOC PDF
      PNG DOCX  
      TIFF PPT  
      PSD PPTX  
      WMF XLS  
      EMF XLSX  
      ICO    
      ICNS    

      It would be even better if Confluence include a simple .txt files into that list, and the ability to preview a .html and .msg file as well.

            We are using Confluence 7.19.17V, We can preview .txt and .html. Only issue with .msg file.
