OBR plugins, such as Gliffy, throws the following error during installation:

Note however that the plugin still works perfectly fine after that. But the error is very misleading. This happens when there are dependent jars in the dependencies folder, and does not happen when the folder is empty.
Installing the same plugin in earlier versions of Confluence do not have the same behavior.
Other plugins with the same behavior: Scroll PDF Exporter, Scroll Versions.

I'm able to reproduce this on 5.6.1, using the gliffy plugin, version 6.4. However I tested this on 5.6.6, and the problem does not occur. We've made some other changes ad bugfixes to that area of the code, and this must have been fixed as well. Closing off.
Please comment here if you still experience this bug in Confluence 5.6.6
pcurren this is the issue I mentioned, possibly related to changes in CachingPluginStateStore?
I can confirm that my initial problem with CF 5.6.1 does not occur anymore with CF 5.6.6.
