Tasks "Did you know" pop-up doesn't go away after pressing dismiss

NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

I wanted to clairify a few things .This is coming from a client that is bothered by the pop-up that is happening. This seems to be related to the grown experiments.

When the clients gets the pop-up he will click "Dismiss" but in a day or so ( maybe within the day ) the pop-up comes back. He wants to be able to control this and disable the option rather then have to deal with waiting for the pop-up to go away or have to click " Dismiss ". The client himself said that this reminds him of Clippy and then provided the funny but annoying video of Clippy.

Almost every other day I am reminded by Confluence that it now has support for tasks. I have clicked the 'Dismiss' button countless times but it keeps coming back.

This has gone on for months now and I have finally been irritated enough to support a support request.

Client is reporting this pop-up like it's Clippy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUvcYP859fg

Lets not be like clippy please.

I'm having the same behavior as well

            Mac OS 10.10.2
            Chrome Version 41.0.2272.104 (64-bit)
            Confluence 5.6.5

This is also happening to me, we're using JIRA/Confluence OnDemand. Looks like the version is: Confluence 5.5-OD-30.

I'm using Firefox ESR 24.7.0 on Gentoo Linux.

We are using Jira/Confluence OnDemand. I have had a look around the administration panel but don't see a place that lists the exact version.

I reproduced it again this morning by opening up my personal wiki space, opening a page, creating a new task list, and adding myself as an @ mention in it. As soon as I clicked save it came up. However, I cannot reproduce this if I try it again immediately after. I generally can reproduce it every morning so there seems to be some kind of timeout on it.

            OS: Ubuntu 14.04
            Chrome - Current stable - 36.0.1985.125

I am not sure about my colleagues... I will ask a few.

            Hi collin.peters
The task notification should only show up once so the behaviour you are seeing is definitely a bug.
We are having problems recreating this issue. Could you please help us by supplying information about your OS, Confluence Version, Browser version.
Does your colleagues on your instance also see this or is it only you?
