Improve status update functionality

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      I would really love to see Confluence get a significant improvement in the status updates fucntionality. Here are the main things:

      • Include the text box on top of the dashboard. This will allow me to directly type in what i'm thinking/working on.
      • Rich status updates It should allow links, emoticons, bold, italic and underline.
      • Improve the interaction by allowing likes and comments.

            Hi There,
            We've recently made the (hard) decision to remove status updates from the product. I'm closing this feature request to set expectations with customers.
